Privacy Policy

Wide Angle produces independent move-in and move-out condition records for rental properties, and provides video documentation tools used by professional property teams. This policy describes what we collect through the Wide Angle app and website (getwideangle.com) and how we use it.

What we collect

Account information (your work email, name, and organization). Visit recordings — video, audio, and photos you capture during a property visit, plus voice notes and written notes you add. Visit details (property label, visit time, processing status). Technical data (logs, device and app version, and crash reports used to keep the app working). If you request a condition record through the website, we also collect the details you send us (your name, email, and property information).

How we use it

Uploaded footage is stored, transcribed, and analyzed — including with AI services — to produce the transcripts, summaries, and findings your organization uses. We also use data to operate, secure, and improve the service. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your footage for advertising. Booking details are used to schedule and deliver the record you requested.

Who can see it

Visit records belong to the organization you record them for; condition records we produce for a client belong to that client. Service providers process data on our behalf (cloud hosting and storage, transcription, AI analysis, email delivery, error monitoring) and only to provide the service. No one else, unless required by law.

Recording responsibilities

All recording is operator-initiated. If you record where consent rules apply, you and your organization are responsible for complying with applicable recording and privacy laws.

Retention and deletion

Visit records are retained for your organization while its account is active. To request deletion, contact us and we'll handle it promptly.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access is restricted to your organization's authorized users and our systems.

Children

Wide Angle is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13.
